Logistic distribution system for the Tilburg Food Bank
Our solution
We developed a complete distribution application that supports the entire process of booking, managing and distributing.
Key components of the solution:
Smart pallet booking
All donated pallets are booked via tablet or scanner. The app recognizes EAN codes, fills in data automatically and makes it possible to add products, suppliers or cross-docking directly.
Automatic distribution across 30 food banks
The available pallets are distributed at the touch of a button. Clusters automatically receive an email with a link where they can indicate what they want or do not want to receive.
Fully automated document flow
The distribution center can directly print pallet receipts, pick orders and waybills, making the logistics process faster and error-free.
Real-time insight into inventory and shelves
The TVB now has a complete overview of the stock, including breaks, statuses, locations and booked pallets.
Built on Microsoft Azure
The app runs scalable, secure and reliable. Includes automatic backups, monitoring and error detection via Sentry.

The challenge
The distribution center in Tilburg provides the complete distribution of donations to 30 food banks in Brabant and Zeeland. The existing application was outdated, was in a non-professional Google environment and could no longer grow with the scale of work. Having multiple users work at the same time was difficult, the system was vulnerable, and management lay with one person. The question: create a future-proof, safe and user-friendly solution that fully digitizes the logistics process.
